CHARLOTTETOWN, PE - There was nothing standing in the way of Woodmere Finesse over a sloppy track in the Thursday night feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Gilles Barrieau was in the bike for the winning trip in the $1,700 featured pace as she took control at the half-mile marker and widened her advantage at every station en route to a 1:57.1 romp by 10-lengths.

One Hot Camshaft (Driven by Ken Murphy) was second followed by Drivingthedragon N (Jason Hughes). Jeff Lilley trains Woodmere Finesse for owner Edward Maher of Lower Sackville, N.S.

Sports Highlights scored her third win in-a-row with a 2:04.3 victory on the off-track for driver Barrieau and trainer Todd Walsh of Charlottetown.

The program featured a pair of $2,500 classes for two-year-old pacers. Westward Whim captured the $2,500 event for O'Brien eligible two-year-old pacing colts for driver Corey MacPherson, trainer John Clarey and owner Michael Clarey of Montague, P.E.I.

The Devils Cut and driver David Dowling overpowered the field of $2,500 Lady Slipper eligible two-year-old pacing fillies with a 2:04.1 win. The daughter of Malicious is owned and trained by Chris MacKay of French River, P.E.I.
