Cicero Noa (9g Mandarino Blue-Ma Belle Reine) took the Caen featured Prix de Cauvicourt (purse 31,000€, 2200 meters autostart, Europeam 5-11 year olds) on March 18. Clocked in 1.10.6kr this 2.6/1 odds highly regarded harness racing trotterur was reined by Yoann Lebourgeois for trainer Nico d’Haenens for breeder/owner Jan Vanhoucke.

Cicero won for the ninth time in France and increased his life earnings to 478,230€.

The 38/1 outsider Blues des Landiers (10g Phlegyas) was second racing with shoes for Hugo Marie and breeder/owner/trainer Dominique Cheradame. Third was 64/1 Ce Retour d’Oscar (9g Le Retour) for J.Ph. Monclin and trainer Ludovic Guitton. Fourth was 70/1 Datcha (8f The Best Madrik) handled by trainer Emmanuel Ruault for Ecurie Comte P de Montesson.

On March 19 at Enghien the Prix de Pierrehite sur Seine (purse 58,000€, 2150 meters autostart, European 7-11 year olds) went to 1.5/1 odds Wild Love (7f Love You-Twins Vilda) timed in 1.12.8kr and reined by Alexis Prat for trainer Anders Lindqvist for Simbergs Hovslageri AB.

This was the winner’s second win in France and her life earnings advanced to 316,765€. Wild Love raced throughout in the outer before pulling away in the lane.

The 18/1 Whole Lotta Love (8g Dream Vacation-For You) was second for pilot Sebastien Olivier and trainer Philippe Daugeard. The 39/1 Bryssel (9m Ready Cash-Spacelane) took third for Yoann Lebourgeois and 33/1 Eliseo (7g Timoko) was fourth for Tonyt Le Beller.

Wild Love

The recently concluded Cagnes sur Mer Winter Meet announced its meet ending stats. The leading money earner was Ecuriel Jenilou (four wins for 108,770€ earned). The leading trainer was Vincent Martens with 35 wins and Christophe Martens led the drivers with 37 victories. The top monte jockey was Florian Desmigneux with six wins and a 54.5% win percentage.
