Coquin Bebe wins the Energima Cup on Oslo Grand Prix Day

Today’s VG Grand Prix Oslo day began with heat one of the Energima Cup (purse €19,939, 1609 meters, nine starters) and the 1.10.7kr clocked victory went to rallying 3/2 favorite Coquin Bebe (6m Rancho Gede-Noble Nenette).

Jorma Kontio was the pilot for trainer Franck Leblanc and owner Annie Bezzier. This one is now 7 for 36 lifetime for €506,358 earned. 15/1 King City (7m Muscle Hill-Creamy Mimi) held second for SRF Stable, trainer Roger Walmann and driver Orjan Kihlstrom. 6.5/1 Photo Lavec (6m SJs Photo-Joyful Lavec) was third for trainer/driver T-E Solberg.

 The second elimination of Energima Cup (same purse, distance, number of starters) went to 1.10.7kr timed and 4/5 odds Donatomite (6g Donato Hanover-Malvictorian) with Frode Hame at the lines.

He trains the winner for Granstrai I. Arjang AB. 12/1 Deep Sea Dream (10g Offshore Dream-Nightlight) was second for S.O. Wassberg, trainer O.G. Hvidsten and owner Bente Hvidsten. 10/1 Quick Fix (9g From Above-Glued) was third for Per Oleg Midtfjeld driving for trainer Lutfi Kolgjini. 11/1 Franch Laundry was fourth.

 Monte performers contested the Kinghsrod Trading (purse €19,979, 1609 meters autostart, 10 starters was the 2/5 favorite and recent world record holder (Be Mine de Houelle 7f Scipion du Goutier) finish fourth. Victory went to 2.2/1 Ulka des Champs (10f Offshore Dream-Melissa des Champs) scored timed in 1.12.1kr for jockey Guillaume Martin and owner David Geguech.

The 20/1 Radieux (8g Love You-Dordogne) was second for Sophia Adolfsson and trainjer/owner Lutfi Kolgjini. Third was 16/1 Etna BR (6f Muscle Yankee-Sugar Coated Lindy).

 The finale of the Energima Cup (UET Masters Series, purse €56,21, 1609 meters, eight qualifying starters)  went to 2/1 Coquin Bebe (8m Rabcho Gede) again reined by Jorma Kontio. 9/1 King City (7m Muscle Hill) took second for Orjan Kihlstrom ahead of 1.6/1 favorite Donatomite (6g Donato Hanover) handled by Frode Hamre. Deep Sea Dream was home fourth. Race time was 1.11/8kr.

 The program also included the Gjensidige Four Year Old Elite race (purse €39,858, 1609 meters, nine starters). Giveitgasandgo (4gf Yankee Glide-Mazda Hanover) scored timed in 1.09.9kr. Erik Adielsson teamed the Frode Hamre trainee that Eria Christoffersen owns. Elite du Ruel (4f Timoko-Romamce du Ruel) was second for trainer/driver Franck Anne and owner Annick Bazin. Kinf Of The Hill and Robin GT completed the top four.

 The Finn Tack Europomatch Norway (purse €56,721, 2100 meters autostart, eight starters) saw 3/5 favorite Genreaal Bianco (6g Ufo Kievitshof-Zakia Fortuna) victorious timed in 1.11.8kr. Peter Untersteiner is trainer/driver of the winner that is owned by Merwesteal Moerdijk BV. 59/1 outsider Moni Viking (5m Maharajah-Jeunesse Doree) was second for Frode Hamre and owner/trainer Jan Lyng, and 4.4/1 Sir QC (5g Raja Mirchi-Mumma QC) with teamster Ulf Ohlsson held third.
