Diamanten (7m Adrian Chip-Iata Kill-Ata Star L), off at 3.4/1 odds and reined by Erik Adielsson for Forspro AM and legendary trainer Stig. H Johansson, took the Ego Boys STL Gold (150,000SEK first prize, 1640 meters autostart, 12 starters) at Rattvik in Sweden. 

Race time was a quick 1.09.8kr, career mark for the winner that had been winless for two years. Diamanten now has 24 career victories in 52 starts for 7,488,231SEK earned. He was impressive today in defeating Chianti (6m Scarlet Knight-Face For Ever-Viking Kronos) and his trainer/driver Bjorn Goop with third to Globalsatisfaction (8g Kadabra-Glide Path-Yankee Glide) for Orjan Kihlstom.


The day’s Gr. II ATG Sommartravet Final (Gr. II International, 300,000SEK to the winner, 14 starters, 2640 meters voltstart distance handicap) saw an impressive 1.93/1 odds favorite Vae Victis Club (6m Mago d’Amore-Efra-Biesolo) score in 1.12.3kr.

Orjan Kihlstrom teamed the Daniel Reden/Stall Zet Italian bred performer that was handicapped 20 meters. He recorded a third victory in four 2020 starts and now has 22 career wins in 54 outings for 1,251,870 earned. 40 meter handicapped Racing Brodde (5f Prodigious-Ronda Brick-Super Arnie) was second for Rikard N. Skoglund and 20 meter penalized Vagabond Bi (6g Varenne-Felicity Bi-Toss Out) was third with Carl Johan Jepson at the lines. Vae Victis Club photos below:


On the Rattvik card was also the Jim Fricks Minne V75 Silver that honored the recently deceased great horseman Jim Frick. This race was conducted over 2140 meters autostart for a 125,000SEK first prize. Flash Haleryd (8g Conway Hall-Looking Flashy-Pine Chip) won for Ulf Ohlsson and trainer Ulf Stenstomer in 1.11.4kr at 13.2/1 odds. He won for the 10th time in 65 career starts while defeating Aron Palema (8g Symphonic Hanover) with Stefan Persson up and Man At Work (7g Ken Warkentin) handled by Orjan Kihlstrom.

On July 30 at Aby was the Red Mile Prize (100,000SEK to winner, 1609 meters autostart, 10 starters) and 2/1 odds Cyber Lane (7g Raja Mirchi-Sybaris Hanover-Cantab Hall) scored in 1.10.0kr with Johan Untersteiner up. Stepping Spaceboy (7m Dream Vacation-Stepping Space-Fast Photo) followed and was two lengths back for trainer/driver Wim Paal. Third was Toddler (8g From Above-Infanta-Express Ride) for Marc Elias.
