Today’s Jagersro Hugo Abergs Memorial card was exceptional and below illustrates the depth of that program and the standardbred stock quality on display.

For example, the STL Stoeliten (200,000SEK first prize, 1640 meters autostart, nine starters) saw 1.4/1 favorite Mellby Free (6f Muscle Hill-Mellby Ticket-Windsongs Legacy) record a 1.10.9kr clocked victory. Peter Ingves teamed the Josef Franzl trainee that won his third in 2020 from four starts and now has 26 career victories in 38 career starts for 1,346,605SEK earned.

This is a solid performer that I first saw win at Kincsem Park last fall in 1.14.4kr, quick time for that oval. Second today was Lord Flax (9m Love You) for Niclas Benzon and trainer Henrik Hollsten with third to Smokin Joe (5m Lavec Kronos) with Lutfi Kolgjini at the lines.
