February 27, 2018 - Wednesday’s featured Quinte+ Prix des Sables d’Olonne (purse €32,000, 2800 meters distance handicap, 18 starters) at Pontchateau went to 16/1 Belle du Matin (7f One du Rib-Maya de Toronto) with owner/trainer Franck Fuet aboard. 31/1 Vulcan du Garabin (9f Norman Jet) was a 25 meter handicapped second for Lorenzo Donati and trainer Roberto Donati, ahead of 3.4/1 Vendi de Tillard (9g Hermes de Pericard) and Francois Lagadeuc driving for trainer Sebastien Guarato, also handling the extra 25 meters. 6.2/1 Christera (6f Qwerty) and 20/1 Vicomte d’Havane (9f Invar) were the next to on the line, both of these without penalty.

At Cagnes sure Mer was the monte Prix de Tourves (purse €35,000, 2700 meters autostart, 16 starters) with 2.2/1 Creature Castelets (6f Pomerol de Laumac) scoring for Quentin Seguin, trainer Nicolas Ensch and Ecurie du Haras de l’Epinay. 3.7/1 Bayern (7g Jam Pridem) was home second for Mlle. Oceane Briand and third went to 7/2 Unique d’Huon (10g Carpe Diem) with Mlle. Samantha Cortial in the irons.

Thursday’s top event is the Prix de Lure (purse €80,000, 2875 meters, European) at Enghien on an unusual 12 race program.
