Feliciano winning with ease at Enghien

Today’s fine Enghien program included the Prix de Geneve (Gr. III, purse 80,000€, 2875 meters, 11 European starters, four-year olds) that went to 1.13.2kr timed and 1.8/1 odds Feliciano (4m Ready Cash-Ravenella) with Eric Raffin aboard for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Ecurie des Charmes.

It was his seventh career victory in 24 starts now for 305,790€ earned. 11/1 Fric du Chene (4m Nobody du Chene) rallied for second with Francois Lagadeuc up for trainer Julien LeMer and breeder/owner Claude Guedj. 1.8/1 co-favorite Falcao de Laurma (4m Uniclove) took third with Franck Nivard up for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin.

Next up was the day’s Quinte+ race of the day, the Prix du Port de L’Alma (purse 51,000€, 2150 meters, 15 starters). The 1.12.9kr timed victory went to 4.7/1 Classic Haufor (7m Jag de Bellouet-Glamour d’Haufor) with Charles J. Bigeon up for breeder/owner/trainer Christian Bigeon.

It was the winner’s 10th career win in 46 starts now for 248,570€ in life earnings. The 1.9/1 favorite Cocktail Desbois (7g Coktail Jet) held second for Eric Raffin and third was 44/1 Bel Air (8g Ganymede) handed by P-Y Verva. 12/1 Aron The Baron and 60/1 Panoramic completed the top five and it set up an exact order Q+ payoff of 128,673€ to three winning ticketholders. The Q+ pool was 2,982,881€ and over 6,608,881€ wagered on the race.

The day’s featured Gr. II Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (purse 130,000€, 2875 meters, International UET Masters Series) saw 27/1 Valokaja Hindo (8m Great Challenger-Hindo Enghave) score from the pocket with Christophe Martens aboard for trainer J-M Bazire. Race time was 1.12.9kr as the winner scored for the 10th time in 18 starts in France. His career earnings are now 489,654.

The stablemate and 4/10 favorite Cleangame (7g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) held second for trainer/driver J-M Bazire and owner J-M Rancoule. 62/1 Cash Gamble (6m Ready Cash-No Way Back) took third for Eric Raffin, ahead of 22/1 Tessy d’Ete (7f Ganymede-Love Me Tender) and pilot Franck Nivard.

Fast class five-year olds contested the Prix de la Porte de Versailles (purse 59,000€, 2150 meters autostart, 10 starters) with victory to 1.8/1 Portland (5m Ganymede-Eiffel Bi) reined by trainer Bjorn Goop for Germany owner Mme. M. Jauss, his fourth win in France in 11 starts, now for life earnings of 232,282€. Race time was 1.13.3kr.

The 2.1/1 Ghazi BR (5m Cantab Hall-Fiery Chip) was placed second with J-M Bazire the trainer/driver. Classic Connection was second and a dq due to a miscue on the line. 18/1 Broadwell (5m Conway Hall-Boria) was placed third with Robin Bakker the pilot. Placed fourth was 28/1 Vanity Luis (5f Ideale Luis) handled by Eric Raffin.
