MANALAPAN, NJ -- November 21, 2020 -- Harness racing driver Tyler Miller had his first grand slam at Freehold Raceway on Friday (Nov 20) afternoon. Tyler is the son of New Jersey based driver Andy Miller and trainer Julie Miller.

The 22-year-old began driving just two years ago and has 132 starts and 16 wins to show for it. With over $100,000 in purse money, Tyler has become a regular at Freehold Raceway since they resumed racing this fall.

Tyler got his first win of the day in the third race with, the Julie Miller trainee, Keystone Orion by nosing out odds on favorite Bad Day Black Rock. After a hard fought battle in the stretch, the photo showed Keystone Orion as the winner. Tyler's win with Keystone Orion gave his mother a birthday present she will never forget, her 2,000th training win.

His second win on the card came in the sixth race with the newly acquired mare for the Miller barn, Age Is A Number. Tyler pulled the mare first up at the half and cruised to the finish line winning by a length in 1:58.1. Girl Almighty was second and Little Honeybdger finished third.

In the tenth race, Miller again upset the odds on favorite in the stretch by a neck this time. Tyler set Maggnifispin, trained by Paul Fusco, up to pace home in 28.4 to take his third win of the day. Anotherprettyface finished second, with Ms Seton coming in third.

To close out the day, Tyler steered Luziana, trained by Allie Reynolds, to the finish line first in 1:58.4.

Freehold Raceway resumes live racing on Saturday (Nov 24) with a post time of 12:30, where Tyler Miller is set to drive three on the card.
