WASHINGTON, PA -  Lady's Dude exploded to the top from post 4 and never had an anxious moment as he scored in 1:53.4 in the slop in Monday's harness racing co-feature at The Meadows, a $10,800 Conditioned Trot.

The 9-year-old Victory Sam-Lady's Star gelding poured it on late for Tony Hall and defeated the rallying Full Surge by 3-1/2 lengths, with the pocket-sitting Truman Jr Hanover third.

Ron Burke trains Lady's Dude, who now boasts a career bankroll of $822,898, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Johnny Yoder.

In Monday's co-feature, also a $10,800 Conditioned Trot, Jeffery P shot the Lightning Lane to triumph in 1:55 for Brady Brown and trainer Miles Wollam, who owns with Renna Wollam, Dennis Osterholt and Jacob Detwiler. The 5-year-old Full Count-Betty Jean gelding lifted his career earnings to $165,457.

Mike Wilder collected four wins on the 13-race card while trainer Paul Corey, who fashioned a four-bagger Friday, added two more victories.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Tuesday when the 13-race program features a $75,577.54 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 PM.
