Tioga Downs played host to four Geers Stakes races and four Arthur Tompkins Memorial races for harness racing freshman pacers and trotters of both sexes on Friday (August 10).

In the second division of the Geers Stake ($30,000) for freshman pacing fillies, Zero Tolerance (David Miller) took over after Tyler Buter took Money Shot Hanover (purse only) to a first quarter in :27.4. Zero Tolerance ($2.80) put up all the rest of the fractions (:56.3, 1:24.2 1:52.1). Money Shot Hanover held for second. JK American Beauty was third.

Zero Tolerance is a 2-year-old filly by Heston Blue Chip-Feelinglikeastar. Her win was just one-fifth off the track record for freshman pacing fillies set last year by Youaremycandygirl in 1:52.0. She is now three for four in her career.

In the first division of the Geers Stake ($29,500) for freshman pacing fillies, Surreality (So Surreal-Beat That) came up late to win in 1:54.3. Driven by Corey Callahan, she paid $22.20 for the win.

Cub Fan (So Surreal-Pardon) won the the first division of the Geers Stakes ($25,200) for freshman pacing colts and geldings. Marcus Miller drove him to victory in 1:54.3 paying $40.80 for the win.

The second division ($25,200) went to Flameproof Hanover (Captaintrecherous-Fashion Ecstasy). Driven by Tim Tetrick, he covered the mile in 1:54.2 paying $5.30.

In the first division of the Arthur Tompkins Memorial ($28,750) for 2-year-old trotting fillies, Evident Beauty (Trixton-Stuck By Lindy) shocked the field flying in the stretch to get the win in 1:58.0. Driven by David Miller she won her first lifetime start paying $23.60.

In the second division it was Big Weezy (Trixton-Keepsake Hanover) reaching the winner's circle with David Miller in command. She scored the mile in 1:59.2 paying $5.00.

In the first division of the Arthur Tompkins Memorial ($28,650) for freshman colts and geldings, Tim Tetrick guided Chapter Fashion (Chapter Seven-New Hampshire Girl) to a victory in 1:56.1. He paid $2.80 for the win.

In the second division ($29,150), Ray Schnittker drove Alternative Fact (Trixton-Myth) to a gate to wire victory in 1:55.3. He paid $31.60 for the win.

Marcus Miller added three more wins to go with his win with Cub Fan, giving him four wins on the night. His other wins came with Lo Hold A Moonbean ($3.20), Mandolin Hanover ($51.50) and Mean Leen ($6.70)

Live racing returns on Saturday (August 11) with 13 races on hand. Also the first annual wiener dog races will take place. 30 dachshunds will vie for a first place prize of a $500 wagering voucher. The wiener races will be ran in between the live horse race. Post Time is 6:15.
