Propulsion (8m Muscle Hill-Danae) off as the 5/10 favorite, rallied off third outer cover to easily win Saturday’s Aby Stora Pris. Purse was 390,000€ ($418,000 US) of this 3140 meters event with 12 contestants. Race time was 1.12.8kr. The mile rate of 1:57.1 is a world record over 1.95 miles on a5/8 mile track. The giants of Swedish trotting met Sunday at Ostersund to decide the UET Masters Final (purse 401,600€, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters). Propulsion (7m Andover Hall-Danae) rallied at mid-stretch for the 1.10.4kr timed victory with Orjan Kihlstrom up for Stall Zet and trainer Daniel Reden. He raised his career earnings to 2,227,405€. The 22/1 Milligans School (5m Yankee Glide-Tori Ann) rallied along the pegs for second after leading Cyber Lane faded, driven by Ulf Eriksson and owner/trainer Stefan Melander. The 7/10 favorite Readly Express (6m Ready Cash-Caddie Dream) was third handled by Bjorn Goop for trainer Timo Nurmos.  Sorbet and driver Per Linderoth was fourth ahead of the Wim Paal teamed Up And Quick. Big weekend of racing in Equope Perfect Spirit this evening won the Gavle Fyeaaringsst (150,000SEK to the winner, 1640 meters autostart). This four year-old son of Andover Hall-Good Common Cents-Kadabra) scored in 1.10.7kr for driver Orjan Kihlstrom, trainer Daniel Reden and SRF Stable. The winner now has six wins and two second place finishes in eight starts since import form the USA. Off as the 1.7/1 favorite Perfect Spirit defeated 27/1 Enterprise (4m Chapter Seven-She’s Gone Again-SJs Caviar) and 4.4/1 Zack Zoomer (4m Deweycheatumnhowe-Passageway-Angus Hall). King Of the Hill and Snowstorm Hanover was dq’s. At Vincennes on Saturday will feature the Gr. II Prix d’Ete for a 200,000 euro total purse, raced over 2700 meters. Aubrion du Gers will be at the start along with noted sprinter Un Mec d’Heripre. The Prix de Basly is also Saturday at Vincennes as three year-olds contest this Gr. II event. Saturday is the FEGAT Amateur Driver Championship final which this year is at Kincsem Park (Budapest). That series of raced begins Friday evening. Propulsion (7m Muscle Hill-Danae-Andover Hall) was up in the final stride to gain a scant nose score for Orjan Kihlstrom over Readly Express (6m Ready Cash-Caddie Dream-Viking Kronos) reined by Jorma Kontio in the Avy Stora Pris in Sweden. The winner, a Daniel Reden harness racing trainee for Stall Zet and bred in the USA by Caldwell and Bluestone Farm, recorded his sixth 2018 victory in 10 starts and 30th for the career in 61 starts for 20,105.317SEK earned. He gained 2,000,000SEK today. Reckless (8m Ready Cash-Haver-Supergill) rallied for third with Bjorn Goop driving. The total purse was 401,600 in euros. The 2.26/1 Propulsion was first away from post one in the 3140 meter autostart classic, a UET Masters Series event. He yielded quickly to Ready Express from post four and driver Kontio controlled the race thereafter until Propulsion began his charge as top of the lane. The pair battled to the wire with Kihlstom urging Propulsion to victory. Propulsion (7m Muscle Hill-Danae-Andover Hall) was a game three-time winner of the Gr. I International Hugo Abergs Memorial at Jagersro on Tuesday evening. Orjan Kihlstom teamed the 1.46/1 winner for Stall Zet and trainer Daniel Reden. Propulsion was timed in 1.09.4kr to win after a tough grind against Dante Boko and others. He was away sixth and began an outside journey before the 600 meter mark and eventually moved three wide in an attacking mode on the backstretch. He raced there alongside his rivals until top of the stretch when he drew off to a commanding lead. Bjorn Goop hustled veteran Up And Quick (10m Buvetier d’Aunou-Fichtre-Quiton du Coral) from far back to gain second about three lengths in arrears. May 19, 2018 - 6/1 Heavy Sound (6g Ken Warkentin-Illustre November-Viking Kronos) impressively won the harness racing Gr. II International H.K.H Prins Daniels at Gavle, Sweden (500,000SEK to the winner, 1609 meters autostart) clocked in 1.09.2kr off quick fractions (1.06.5kr at the first 500 meters, 1.09.1kr at the first 1000). Heavy Sound, driven by Kenneth Haugstad for trainer Daniel Reden and SRF Stable, inherited the front when leading Nobel Amok went off stride (he was among four that were miscue dq’s in the ten horse field). He began from post 9. Twister Bi (6m Varenne-Lorraine Bi-Lemon Dra) was second in his first 2018 start with Christoffer Eriksson up for trainer Jerry Riordan and owner Pasquale Ciccarelli, closing strongly from the back. Twister began from post three, was briefly off gait before the start, and was far back and in traffic until late when he circled up and his push fell three lengths short. Beau Mec (11m Jag de Bellouet-Extreme Lady-Meadow Gallant) was third for driver Carl Johan Jepson. Queer Fish and Dante Boko completed the top five. April 21, 2018 - Today’s featured Seinajoki Race in Finland (purse €70,000, 2100 meters autostart) went to veteran campaigned Call Me Keeper (8m Pine Chip-Elia Keeper-Credit Winner) timed in 1.12.7kr and reined by Orjan Kihlstrom for trainer Daniel Reden. Call Me Keeper now has earnings of €594,780. Peace of Mind (7f Uronometro-Erica d’Alfa-Sugarcane Hanover) took second for Italy’s Alessandro Gocciador, ahead of the Johan Untersteiner piloted Pastor Bob. The week in Scandinavia was interesting. On April 17 at Solvalla Perfect Spirit (4m Andover Hall-Good Common Cents-Kadabra) won a 1660 meter voltstart event for 60,000SEK. Orjan Kihlstrom teamed the 1.12kr timed winner that SRF Stable owns and Hanover Shoe Farm bred. Daniel Reden now trains this horse that won last year’s Hambletonian on a dq. Muscleman FI was second and Mellby Fantom was third this day. Reportedly Perfect Spirit will next race at Aby on April 27. Also at Solvalla Lionel (8m Look de Star-Aurora Sign-Smok’n Lantern) was a dead-heat winner of a 75,000SEK, 2140 meter contest. Goran Antonsen owns and drive Lionel that Daniel Reden trains. He hit the wire with Charrua Forlan (8g Up Front Larry-Friska Bar-Frisky Frazer) and driver Hans Owe Sundberg. Third was the Erik Adielsson reined Giveitgasandgo with French Laundry home fourth. December 31, 2017 - Propulsion (6m Muscle Hill-Danae) with Orjan Kihlstom up for harness racing trainer Daniel Reden and Stall Zet was a conclusive length plus winner at 4.9/1 odds timed in 1.10.5kr in today’s Quinte+ Grand Prix de Bourgogne (Gr. II, purse €120,000, 2100 meters autostart, 17 starters less two scratched – Uza Josselyn and Akim du Cap Vert; Anna M, Goop driving for injured Vercruysse).  The 5/10 favorite Bold Eagle (6m Ready Cash-Reethi Rah Jet) rallied wide and late for Franck Nivard (trainer Sebastien Guarato; owner Pierre Pilarski) for second with 43/1 Briac Dark (6m Prince Gede-Queen des Charmes) and driver Matthieu Abrivard third and getting a Prix d’Amerique ticket. Thierry Duvaldestin trains Briac Dark for Ecurie Guy Barou. 33/1 Billie de Montfort (6f Jasmin de Flore) and 150/1 Day Or Night In (5m Muscle Hill) completed the Quinte+ top five.  Belina Josselyn and forwardly place Anna Mix were sixth and seventh for the final checks.  Lionel, Booster Winner, Bird Parker, and Ringostarr Treb were eighth through 11th. Driver Kihlstom left strongly with Propulsion and raced at or near the front all the way in quick fractions with Anna Mix alongside for the middle half of the event. Propulsion gained an open advantage on his rivals off the final turn and wide rallying Bold Eagle could not reach. Bold Eagle raced third in the outer much of the way and cleared late for his run in the five wide path. Briac Dark, who led at one time and was well-placed throughout, held gamely for third. Fractions were quick and steady (1.07.5kr at 1500 to go; 1.09.1 at the 1000; 1.10.9kr at 500 meters remaining). The Q+ exact order payoff was €62,702 for a €2 wager. July 25, 2017 - Harness racing driver Orjan Kihlstrom piloted Propulsion (6m Muscle Hill-Danae-Andover Hall) to a quick decisive victory in tonight’s Hugo Abergs Memorial (1SEK million to the winner, 1609 meters autostart, 10 starters) clocked in 1.08.1kr (mile rate 1:49.57). Propulsion, trained by Daniel Reden for Stall Zet, left from post one and found a position second over as Twister Bi (5m Varenne-Lorraine Bi-Lemon Dra) set a fast pace for Christoffer Eriksson after causing a recall and being fired up. He traveled the initial 500 meters in 1.06.7kr. This Jerry Riordan trainee held gamely for third as stablemate Ringostarr Treb (7m Classic Photo-Farsalo Egral-Supergill) emerged from the peg pocket to close rapidly for second driven by Wim Paal. Propulsion successfully defended his Abergs victory a year ago and set a new mile autostart record in Sweden as he was the favorite off at 1.8/1. Shadow Gar and Carabinieri finished fourth and fifth. Propulsion The undercard was a good one this day in the rain, over a sloppy track and with 10,673 folks in attendance. The Premio Going Kronos (550,000SEK to the winner, 1609 meters autostart) went to 2.8/1 Executive Caviar (3m SJs Caviar-Le Belle Lady-Conway Hall) for trainer/driver Joakim Lovgren. I International UET Masters, 1,000,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters autostart, 10 starters) clocked in 1.10.8kr and reined by Orjan Kihlstrom. Stall Zet owns Propulsion, now with a 2-3-0 slate in eight 2017 starts for 3,773,250SEK for the year. His career late is 21-8-4 in 45 outings for 9,607,195SEK earned. The 1.6/1 favorite defeated Italy’s Oasis Bi (9m Toss Out-Up Front JM-Self Possessed) with Kim Eriksson up and In Vain Sund 5m Revenue-Staro Yasmine-Supergill) with Per Linderoth up, again for the Reden/Stall Zet team. The Daniel Reden chestnut trainee is owned by Stall Zet and he record victory 22 in 71 starts for 3,92,650SEK earned. 32/1 Sliding Home (4m Donato Hanover-Bar Slide-Yankee Glide) held second for Jennifer Tillman and trainer Per K. Eriksson. This one raced last in the US on October 2 for Jonas Czernyson before export to SWE and this was his best performance in 2017.
