The Changeover three-year-old Zarias was a most impressive harness racing winner on debut at Alexandra Park, Auckland on January 22.

Starting from the No 7 gate, the gelding pinged straight to the top, survived some mid-race pressure and then rallied strongly at the end to win in a 1:58.6 rate for 2200 metres.

Other recent New Zealand winners by Changeover have been Not Over 1:59.2 (Addington), Changearound 1:59.8 (Dunedin) and Overarm (Methven).

Changeover picked up another new credit in Overrated, who won at her second start at Globe Derby Park, while Fleetmaster NZ captured his first win on Australian soil and third lifetime at Newcastle.

Paddington Central NZ, a gelding by Changeover, led throughout at Melton to push his earnings over the $50,000 mark, while Soho Beijing notched his ninth lifetime success at Leeton.

In America, Changeover was represented by Glenferrie Bronte NZ, a winner in 1:54.8 at Miami Valley Raceway, Ohio, and The Charging Moa NZ, who won in 1:59.8 at Yonkers, New York.

Changeover’s progeny has earned almost $14.9 million to date.
